GPA-C-6.3 gas turbine pumping unit

The GPA-C-6.3 gas turbine pumping unit retrofit is conducted by substituting the NK-12S engine for the GTU-10PC gas turbine, and by including an appropriate hardware for upgrading the gas pumping set systems. For today, the preliminary engineering of the retrofit has been executed.

The differences of GTU-10PC gas turbine from the GTU-10P base design (for GPA-C-6.3 retrofit) are determined by particular conditions of tie-in and location of components in the upgraded gas turbine pumping unit.

During retrofit the hardware from GTU-10PC is installed on the existing foundation into an existing enclosure with upgrading of gas pumping set systems.

The hardware provides for upgrading of gas compressor systems for the GTU-10PC installation, and also, replacement or upgrading of out-of-date or worn-out systems, and it is determined by the specification approved by the Customer.

Automatic control unit (ACU) is based on SU-SS 4510-10-38, and is common for gas turbine pumping sets and other gas turbine mechanical drive systems.

Advantages

The retrofit of GPA-C-6.3 gas turbine pumping unit with application of GTU-10PC gas turbine and new hardware allows to improve the performance, that is:

  • to improve reliability of the driven engine systems;
  • to improve reliability of the modified systems;
  • to reduce the consumption of fuel gas;
  • to reduce irretrievable losses of lube oil;
  • to improve the ecological characteristics.

The retrofit is carried out with maximum use of existing systems of the unit.
