GTU-25P Industrial Gas Turbine

Among perm gas turbines GTU-25P has got the highest power rated at 25 MW. It is intended to drive gas compressors in new-generation gas compressor packages, and to pump gas into underground gas storage.

GTU-25P is based on the PS-90GP-25 gas turbine engine, which is an industrial derivative of the high efficiency PS-90A aero engine incorporating as well GTU-12P and GTU-16P gas turbine components.

The engine consists of:

  • two-shaft gas turbine gas generator module;
  • power turbine module.

The engine and power turbine located on the common engine mount are installed on the gas compressor package skid.

This gas turbine was developed and produced by Aviadvigatel OJSK within the scope of "Ural-Gazprom" comprehensive program. In November 2003 the high-time gas turbine was shipped to the Customer, Permtransgaz for GTN-25 gas pumping set reconstruction and in December the gas turbine was installed in "Igrinskaya" compressor station as part of GPA-25R-PS gas pumping unit (OJSC "Iskra").

In November 28 - 29 2006 the gas turbine successfully passed interdepartmental test.

In acceptance report "Gasprom" stated that GTU-25P gas turbine primary parameters, established during preliminary and acceptance tests, coincided with TECHNICAL SPECIFICATION requirements and the primary design and technological solutions of gas compressor station GPA-25R-PS "Ural" were at the level of the world standards.

The experience of GTU-25P gas turbines operation

 As of the beginning of January, 2009  KS "Igrinskaya", JSC "Gaspromtransgaschaikovsky", operates 2 GTU-25P gas turbines and one standby engine PS-90GP-25 as a part of 2 units GPA-25P-PS "URAL".

The operating time of GTU-25P gas turbines for the year 2008 is 5388 hours.
The total operating time of GTU-25P since operation start  is 21211 hours.
The operating time of the high-time GTU 25P is 12 160 hours.
