JSC UEC - Perm Engines and A.D. Shvetsov Perm Aviation Technical School – new forms of cooperation

Shortly before the Knowledge Day (translator’s note: September 1), August 30, 2019, Perm Engines representatives visited A.D. Shvetsov Perm Aviation Technical School (PAT). During the visit Sergey Popov, Managing Director, accompanied by Oleg Skachkov, Production Director, Olga Krasavina, HR Director, and Maksim Kuznetsov, Technical Director, have attended number of high-tech labs of the technical school.

It’s the lab for mechatronics and mobile robotics that has become the first stop on the delegation’s route. Aleksandr Dicheskul, Director of the Perm Aviation Technical School (PAT), shared with the guests with the major lines for the scientific work, processes and lab-based researches, and demonstrated state-of-the-art equipment represented here as well.

Aleksandr Dicheskul, Director of A.D. Shvetsov Perm Aviation Technical School:

– “Mechatronics and mobile robotics” is one of the most sought-after majors that we initiated in our technical school only short time ago. At the classes, beyond mastering the theory, students learn to control a robot by themselves, to create robotic technology lines and various structures allowing for sorting parts out depending on color and material, and then to accomplish assembly. Such a unique chance was given to our students due to Perm Aviation Technical School cooperation with Perm production companies, including Perm Engines. With the support of the latter we were able to purchase up-to-date educational robotics complexes.

Later the guests came around the lab for automated process designing and CNC system programming. Research center employees detailed the latest projects and developments to the UEC-PE specialists and showed some prototypes that the students of the technical school develop on their own

To conclude the visit the management of both the company and the technical school has agreed on the lines and prospects of the further cooperation. There were discussed questions of the research and development sector elaboration, joint researches on the technical school labs basis and specialists training in robotics and opportunities for elaboration of new skill upgrading courses for mid-level specialists and workers of Perm Engines.

Sergey Popov, Managing Director, UEC-Perm Engines:

– Annually the graduates of the Perm Aviation Technical School find employment at our company; students undertake an internship, successfully study in practice-oriented (dual) program of specialists training on the basis of our company. UEC-PE’s immense challenge is the improvement of manufacture, and successful implementation of which requires highly qualified personnel who are not stranger to production processes and have up-to-date innovative education. And today Perm Aviation Technical School has everything to train such experts.
