Perm engine builders won three prizes in the championship of professional skills of JSC UEC

There are the results summarized for the fifth corporate championship of professional skills of the United engine corporation, which traditionally was held at the enterprises of the holding in two nominations – “Best young professional” and “Best experienced professional”. The specialists of JSC UEC-Perm Engines took three prizes.

Alexander Khabibullin, CNC machine and industrial robot setup specialist, was the first among the participants in the competence of “Milling on CNC machines” (among experienced professionals). Electric and gas welder Nikita Tebenkov won the prize in the competence “Welding technologies” (among young professionals). Sergey Panov, CNC machines and industrial robot setup specialist, took the 3rd place in the competence “Turning on CNC machines” (among experienced professionals). Young men have more than once become winners of professional skill competition both in their company and in the UEC championships. This year effective preparation for them has become participation in the just-held plant competition, where they also demonstrated excellent results.

According to experts, the fact of performing tasks with new high-precision equipment was of no small importance for the victory of Permians. Thus, NC machines setup specialists had to fabricate a part according to a given drawing – adjust the equipment, choose the cutting tool, write out control program and choose machining modes. Then the part should have been machined, measured and demonstrated. Getting ready to the competition, specialists of the JSC UEC-PE have completed additional training in programming, trained on the simulators.

One of the competition winners, Sergey Panov, said that during these tests he completed the task faster than last year: the geometry of the part turned out to be a bit simpler. “I like my job, I’d say I have found myself in it”, says Sergey. He has been working at JSC UEC-Perm Engines for ten years and plans to continue developing his skills.

Olga Krasavina, HR Director of UEC-Perm Engines:

 - We are proud of our guys and hope that for the next competition a number of competencies, where we will show the best results, will be expanded. Preparation and personnel development were and are always in priority for our company.

Only one of Perm winners, electric and gas welder Nikita Tebenkov, will join the team of State Corporation Rostec for participation in National championship of cross-industry service jobs of high-technology industries WorldSkills Hi-Tech-2019, which will be held in autumn.
