Manufacturing engineer from forge shop has become the Queen of Perm Engines

One of the most colorful and spectacular competitions of UEC-PE – “Queen of Perm Engines”, took place in the A.G. Soldatov Palace of Culture on the 25th of February. This time 25 girls fought for the title of the smartest and most beautiful woman of the plant. According to the results of difficult trials - a runway walk in working clothes, a blitz-interview, a creative contest and a runway walk in evening dresses - the professional jury determined the top five.

Yuliya Tuktarova, manufacturing engineer of forge shop, has become the Queen of Perm Engines: she scored the maximum number of points, as estimated the jury members. She also has become the owner of the audience choice award, which was granted according to vote results of those sitting in the hall. Yuliya said that she recently returned after her maternity leave, and the contest was an excellent opportunity for her to come back to active work. The last month was not easy for Yuliya: during working hours she was engaged into the development of processes for the forge shop, and spent all evenings at rehearsals with a professional choreographer. Yu. Tuktarova’s creative act was a dance based on a mix of various styles and trends, including jazz modern, elements of classical ballet combined with Latin American passions. “The fact that victory will be mine, I felt already at the rehearsals. But without great team of fans cheering me on, I would not have become the Queen,” said Yulia.

Anastasia Sharkova, student at Perm Technical School of Industrial and Information Technologies, has become the first vice-queen. She also received a special prize from Tekhnoavia ,the partners of the competition . The second vice-queen is Yekaterina Aminova, who works as a secretary in the assembly shop of industrial engines. She got another prize - the victory in the nomination "Best Photo". Oksana Tolokontseva, leading specialist in planning and economic division at UEC-PE, has become the friendliest pageant lady: the contestants themselves chose her. And the special prize of the jury for the desire to win was granted to Anna Mikova, leading specialist of the public relations division. She read her own poem about how fate brought her to the plant.

Oleg Skachkov, Production Director of JSC UEC-PE:

-       It was a great show, the girls have prepared thoroughly. The organization of the contest is at its best, everything was smooth and without a hitch. I enjoyed that all the participants turned out to be creative, enthusiastic, and each has its own hobby. I hope that the qualities acquired during the preparation for the contest will allow them to express themselves creatively also during the working process.
