JSC UEC-Perm Engines received the attestation certificate for the reconstructed test cell, located at the suburban test facility (STF) of the Company in the settlement of New Lyady (Perm). The document states that “according to the results of the initial certification, the test cell complies with the requirements of the regulatory and technical documentation  and is recognized as acceptable for testing the PD-14, PS-90A, PS-90A-76, PS-90A1, PS-90A2 engines”. The certificate is issued by the Central Institute of Aviation Motors named after P.I. Baranov (CIAM), it has to be confirmed every two years.

In the process of attestation, the test cell was examined for compliance with the requirements of state and industry standards, technical specifications of engine parameters measuring system, engine control system and test cell equipment. A large scope of attestation activities was carried out, including:

- check for the availability and correctness of the issued operational documentation;

- verification of compliance with safety, hygiene and environmental requirements.

To confirm the characteristics of the test cell, one PS-90A engine and two PD-14 engines were tested.

The final meeting of the attestation commission with specialists from CIAM, All-Russian Scientific Research Institute of Physical-Technical and Radiotechnical Measurements, Military Representative office and various services of JSC UEC-Perm Engines, took place in mid-October. After all the necessary documentation execution, CIAM issued the certificate for the test equipment of the Company.

Sergey Popov, Managing Director of JSC UEC-Perm Engines, Chairman of the Perm Regional Branch of the Russian Engineering Union:

- For the Russian engine-building domain it’s an outstanding event just like everything connected with the PD-14 project. By the end of this year, we have to transfer to the customer, Irkut Corporation, two PD-14 power plants, as well as one spare engine: they will be tested at the new test cel.l

Reference:

The test-cell ¹1 of "UEC-PE" was reconstructed in 2017. It’s an accurate metrological facility that allows measurements of engine parameters and its debugging during the tests. At the cell, the technology of off-cell preparation of the engine is used, which allows to increase the capacity of the test cell.
