“Perm Engines” congratulated first-year pupils and opened celebratory assemblies in specialized technical schools

Shortly before the Day of Knowledge “UEC- Perm Engines” facilities turned into one big playground: within the time since the First-year  pupils’ day had been established and took place for the fifth time, 375 future pupils visited their parents’ workplaces, museum of Perm Engine-building history, and some of them were lucky even to visit aircraft engines assembly shop.

Animators played with the kids on the square in front of the facilities, special holiday guests were Lunegov Alexey and Victoria, funny clowns, who rode monocycles, gave joky master classes for starting pilots, taught the children to make figures of animals and guns from long balloons.

Daniil Rakhmetov’s father is blades polisher. Since April the boy has been waiting to visit his father’s workplace in the shop. He says he wants to be like his dad and “make blades as they help aircrafts to fly”.

Uliana Repina, mother of the first-year pupil Arina, “repairs engines parts”. The girl’s granny also works here. So far Arina wants to be a vet, however may be after she graduates from the 9th form she will enter Perm aviation technical school and come to work in the same shop where her relatives are employed now.

Head of corporate culture and youth politics department of JSC “UEC-Perm Engines”, Stella Emir-Veli told that the quantity of pupils coming to the excursions keeps increasing from year to year, as the company employees bring the pupils of 1st - 8th forms. “We normally do a great professional orientation work at schools on this day, and it is the first step to make the children interested, show them the facilities”, - said S. Emir-Veli.

This work results could be seen during celebratory assembly of Perm aviation technical school on September 1: over 400 first-year students decided to connect their lives with engine building. One fourth of them are students who concluded a contract with “Perm engines” and plan to study in accordance with a dual system. It means that their training will take place not only in technical school classrooms, but at the facility machines as well together with tutors and teachers of “Perm engines”.

“This year we established 4 new specialties: “Mechatronics and mobile robotechnics”, “Informational systems and programming”, “Quality management” and “Machining process technology” as well. The latter resembles “Mechanical engineering technology”, but the students will study a year longer and as they graduate, they will an additional qualification “Assembly fitter”. That is why I really hope that in the future machine assembly departments will pay attention to these specialists”, - remarked Alexander Dicheskul, head of Perm aviation technical school.

Managing Director of JSC “UEC-Perm Engines” Sergey Popov congratulated the first-year students on the Day of Knowledge. He emphasized that they’ve made the right choice to connect their profession with hi-tech machine building, a field which Perm region is proud of. He added that the graduates will be welcomed in the facilities, shops and departments as they finish their studies. To finalize official part Sergey Popov presented Alexander Dicheskul with a Certificate of appreciation of Russian Engineering Union for brilliant specialists training and great contribution into Perm region industry development.
