Organization of Maintenance and Forms of Maintenance

OJSC "PMZ" and OJSC "Aviadvigatel" (industrial gas turbine (IGT) designer) have a well-developed mature maintenance system and a great experience in organization of their product maintenance.

Firstly, specialist training quality plays a very important role. Therefore there is a well-organized and fully equipped training center in "PMZ" to train its specialists and the specialists of operating organizations.

Each specialist of the Customer Support Department takes theoretical and practical courses in this center prior any business trip.   

Then the specialist is to practice his skills in an assembly shop, and only after that is permitted to work in an operating organization.

Secondly, continuous operation of industrial GTU is achieved due to the well-structured organization of after-market support and on-time delivery of spare parts to operating organizations.

Several different forms of gas turbine aftermarket support have been introduced into practice over IGT operation period, specifically:

  • specialists traveling to IGT operation sites on the request of their management for eliminating faults per bulletins and technical directives (parts and components required for gas turbine repairs are supplied under special contracts);
  • permanent presence of the Customer Support Department specialists at gas turbine operation sites on a contractual basis; in this case parts and components are supplied as they are required within the period of no longer than 24 hours and all works are performed by the Customer Support Department specialists;
  • one of the ways of works organization is permanent presence of one specialist in the base organization, such specialist is to render technical assistance and communicate with  the Customer Support Department and Designer.

A long-term practice of implementing different forms of maintenance demonstrated that the most efficient one is the presence of specialists on sites with all works performed under contracts concluded directly between operators and the manufacturer. Such approach minimizes the time of decision making, supply of necessary parts and components and troubleshooting.

The Customer Support Department offers cooperation to all operators of Perm gas turbines in their aftermarket support.

 

To increase
